Reasons not to Blog

1. Time/Exhaustion

It’s fair and accurate to say that I’m busy right now. To add to that: I’m constantly freaking exhausted right now in a way that if you’re a teacher or full time educator, I’m sure you’d understand all too well. It’s deceptive to look at hours spent teaching in a day and think ‘Oh, that’s not so bad’ but I come home from the day unable to do much else than flop down on my awesome couch and watch TV or play games. Obviously, having worked in education before, I was prepared for this level of tiredness knowing how I feel after a day, but it still takes some time getting used to. Evenings are spent exhausted; weekends are spent in a similar fashion recuperating for the upcoming week.

2. Social/Performance Anxiety

This is something I can, at least, do something about. Just before leaving the UK, I lost two very dear friends, both Londoners and both friends in fleshspace as well as on the internet. These and other circumstances led me to the opinion that everything I said, posted or did was hurting people. And then it was ‘I haven’t posted for so long the next thing should be the best thing ever! And then it was ‘Eeeh no one misses me anyway’ and so on and so forth.

I’m intending to get better. Or at least get slowly back into blogging and so forth.

And what better way to do that than with a 30 days meme?
